Lose fat, not muscle.
Weight loss doesn’t always mean fat loss. See whether you’re losing body fat or valuable muscle, so you know if your progress is actually healthy progress.

Hume continuously monitors the biomarkers that shape long-term health, giving you insights into how your habits affect your body.
Trusted at the highest level
From recovery to body composition, Hume helps high performers see the changes that weight alone can't reveal.
A clinical body scan, built for home
Step on. Hold the sensors. Hume analyzes your body segment by segment to reveal fat, muscle, visceral fat, hydration, symmetry and metabolic health — creating a detailed map that evolves every time you scan.
Make sure weight loss isn’t costing you more than fat.
Losing weight can also mean losing valuable lean tissue. Track what you're preserving as the pounds come off, so getting lighter doesn’t mean getting weaker.
Know if your progress is real. The scale can go down without you losing the fat you want to lose. See whether your body fat is actually changing, so you know if your diet and training are working.
See the dangerous fat you can’t see. Visceral fat sits deep around your internal organs, invisible in the mirror. Higher levels are associated with greater cardiometabolic risk—making it one of the numbers worth knowing.
Stay strong for the life ahead. Muscle is closely linked to strength, mobility, and independence as you age. See whether you’re building it, maintaining it, or quietly losing it over time.
See if the stubborn fat is finally moving. It’s the fat stored beneath your skin—the fat you can pinch around your stomach, hips, thighs, and arms. Track whether it’s actually changing, even when the scale barely moves.
Know when your body needs more. Your hydration level can affect how you feel, perform, and recover. Track changes in body water to better understand what your body needs day to day.
Protect the foundation you’ll depend on later. Bone health becomes increasingly important as you age. Monitor estimated bone-related trends over time so you can keep strength, mobility, and healthy aging top of mind.
Find the imbalance behind how you move. One side of your body may be compensating for the other without you realizing it. See muscle imbalances that can affect movement and posture and may contribute to issues like back discomfort.
Know how the engine behind your body is doing. Follow cardiovascular-related signals and circulation trends over time, giving you another window into how your fitness and overall health are changing.
Meet your Digital Twin
Every scan adds another layer to your Digital Twin. See where your body is changing, understand your trajectory, and follow progress the mirror — and weight alone — can't show.
Research-grade sensing
Highly precise hand and foot sensors analyze your arms, legs and trunk separately — delivering detailed body-composition data from home.
Personalized intelligence
Hume AI helps interpret your scans and connected health data to show you what's working, what may be holding you back, and what to change next.
CONNECT THE DOTS
Your body's signals, connected. Bring body composition, sleep, activity and recovery into one clear picture.
A clearer picture of you.

Other smart scale
I was excited to get my scale, though I had questions about how accurate it would be. The readings seemed to reflect what I already knew about my body. Then I had a scan at my gym using an Evoke machine, and its report was almost identical to my Hume report. Now I have a useful way to see which areas I want to work on, especially building muscle.
The Hume PodI'm a board-certified internist and medical oncologist with a strong interest in obesity and the biomarkers that can help show changes in health. This scale measures several parameters and lets multiple users follow their results with charts over time. I've used it for about two weeks, and nothing in my experience would lead me to give it fewer than five stars.
The Hume PodI had a DEXA scan three hours after using the Body Pod, with a light breakfast in between. The Body Pod showed 10.9% body fat and the DEXA showed 11.1%. Food intake might explain the 0.2-point difference, but either way, I'm impressed by how close the readings were.
The Hume PodAs an MD, I've been impressed by this technology. I had low expectations because smart scales can be inaccurate, but my results were closer than I expected. I also compared a reading with a DEXA scan, and the body fat results were about 1-2 percentage points apart. Well done, Hume team. Now I'm looking forward to the band.
The Hume PodI used to track only my weight, and it was frustrating when the number rose even though I felt leaner. With the Body Pod, I can see measures such as fat, muscle, water, and metabolic age in under a minute. It helps me connect my workouts and diet with changes in my body. I've seen my body fat reading drop by four points in six weeks, and I feel more in control of my progress.
The Hume PodThe Hume Pod 2.0 uses 8-frequency bioelectrical impedance analysis (BIA) sensors to scan multiple tissue layers and measure fat, muscle, and water composition. Its segmental handle system scans your torso, arms, and legs individually, not just your lower body like standard smart scales, and its dual-point contact design (base platform plus hand sensors) is built for more consistent readings than single-point devices.
Understand whether weight change is coming from fat, muscle, or water, not just the number on the scale. Body fat tracking shows whether you're burning fat or losing water that comes right back. Muscle mass measurement reveals gains even when total weight stays flat. Visceral fat monitoring follows the fat stored around your organs. Trend graphs filter out day-to-day noise from water retention and meal timing, so you can compare your body composition across weeks, months, or a year.
Four high-precision weight sensors, weight range 5–200 kg (11–441 lbs), 50 g (0.1 lb) precision. High-strength tempered glass platform, 12.7 x 12.7 x 1.1 in. Advanced Bluetooth connection, dual-frequency body fat sensing, built-in heart rate sensor. 2.8" display. Rechargeable Li-ion battery, up to 1 year per charge, 30-minute fast charge.
Hume syncs with Apple Health, Google Fit, so your activity and sleep data connect with your body composition in one place.
Yes. Hume's BIA technology has been used safely for over 20 years, with a patented BIA frequency for greater accuracy than standard smart scales. For customers with cardiac devices like pacemakers or ICDs implanted after 1992, the Hume Pod 2.0 is safe to use; multiple studies have shown no interference with these devices during BIA measurement.
Yes. Hume displays weekly, monthly, and yearly averages for weight and other body composition metrics, so you can spot trends and track progress over time.
Place your scale on an uncarpeted, flat surface. Make sure your phone's Bluetooth is active. With bare feet, step onto the scale until it displays 0.00. Open the Hume Health App, tap "measurement," and select the Hume Pod 2.0 from your device list. Standing fully upright and facing forward, hold both handles steady until the app signals your weigh-in is complete.
Start your day with a morning weigh-in for consistent tracking, minimizing fluctuations from meals and fluids. Keep the same time and place for each weigh-in. Weight varies day to day and even hour to hour, so focus on trends; by focusing on these trends, you get a clearer picture of your progress and patterns. If you miss your usual time, don't skip the day, just do it later.
